Young Carers Service

At North Tyneside Carers’ Centre, we work with young carers and their families. The young carers’ team provides practical and emotional support to young carers around their caring role. This includes:

  • Practical and emotional support to young carers and their families around their role as a carer
  • A much needed break and the opportunity to relax with their friends
  • Opportunities to work join our Young Carers’ Forum and have their say

Our Family Support Workers and Young Carers Practitioners work with young carers and their families to provide practical and emotional support.

We offer a breaks and activities service, made up of our Breaks and Activities Worker and team of Sessional Workers. Breaks and Activities enables young carers take a break from caring, explore new activities and aspirations and make friends with other young people who are also young carers.
