Are you interested in making a difference to the lives of unpaid family carers across the North of Tyne area?
North Tyneside Carers’ Centre, Newcastle Carers and Carers Northumberland are excited to deliver a new project to expand provision for unpaid carers who are looking to return to work, or, for those who are in work and struggling to juggle work alongside caring. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority as the lead authority.
The postholders will assess individual carers’ needs and deliver advice, information and guidance to help them manage their caring responsibilities alongside work, training or education. This will include helping carers understand: their rights in the workplace; assistive technology solutions; exploring alternative employment and delivering information and advice surgeries within workplaces to help carers access support in a timely way.
The postholder will have experience of providing one to one support information, advice and guidance to people in need. They will also have a strong commitment to inclusive team-working and be flexible and innovative in their approach. Excellent organisational and IT skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are essential.
The postholder will be required to travel throughout the North of Tyne area therefore it is essential that you are a car user.
