Get on board with North Tyneside Carers’ Centre: we are recruiting trustees.

Are you passionate about improving identification and support for unpaid carers?
Do you want to make a difference in North Tyneside?
Can you commit four voluntary hours per month?

North Tyneside Carers’ Centre want to hear from anyone with the skills and experience to help us deliver our mission: to improve the quality of life of carers in North Tyneside.

Our trustees are responsible for the governance of the organisation and setting our strategic direction. They are from a variety of backgrounds, some from roles within health and social care services, the private sector, others as carers, all of whom bring an understanding of our local community.

North Tyneside Carers’ Centre Chair of Trustees, Alison Waggott-Fairley, explains why she joined the Board:

“With my background and involvement in Adult Social Care, I was extremely aware of the issues faced by carers, all of which I appreciated having been a carer for my mum. I was determined to join the Board to help North Tyneside Carers’ Centre raise the profile of carers and ensure they had access to the support they deserve.”
