Volunteering
Introduction:
North Tyneside Carers' Centre is an independent charity with a board of trustees and around 20 employees and 15 volunteers. Established in 1994, the Centre is a network member of Carers' Trust which has approximately 144 carers' centres operating nationwide. Carers are involved at every level of our organisation, inlcluding policy and service development and are represented on the board of trustees, our staff team and volunteers. Our core services include Adult Carer and Young Carer information, advice and support, which is delivered on an individual basis and in groups.
We run a number of additional services that can help carers look after their own health and wellbeing and cope better in their caring roles.
As a charity, North Tyneside Carers' Centre relies on the support of volunteers. Our dedicated team of volunteers are a great asset to the Carers' Centre and allow us to extend our reach and provide support for more carers.
