Would you like to make a positive impact on the lives of young adult carers in North Tyneside?

At North Tyneside Carers’ Centre, we have a great opportunity to work with young adult carers aged 16 – 25, who care for a family member due to illness, disability, mental health difficulties or alcohol/substance misuse.

As a Young Adult Carers Worker, you will assess the needs of young adult carers aged 16-25 and provide a range of interventions to support their transition to adulthood.

You must have:

• have experience of supporting young people through key transition stages
• an understanding of social care, health and education services
• be able to manage a complex and challenging caseload
• possess excellent group facilitation skills
• demonstrate good communication and organisational skills
• work as part of a team
• have the ability to work flexible hours
• the ability to travel throughout North Tyneside
