Fundraise and Donate
Each year we work very hard to raise funds for the charity by submitting funding applications, tendering for contracts and organising fundraising events.
We know that many people contribute to their favourite charities and even a small amount will help us to change the lives of young and adult carers living in North Tyneside.
We are delighted that Tracey Harkins, daughter of Diane Taylor, Carers’ Centre volunteer, is taking part in this year’s Great North Run to raise money for the Carers’ Centre. You can support Tracey by visiting our Just Giving page or you can make a pledge directly to the Centre by sending in a cheque or popping in.
Whether you are organising your own event or taking part in a sponsored activity, your donations are vital in allowing us to continue to support carers throughout North Tyneside.
If you would like to discuss a fundraising idea please contact the Centre on (0191) 643 2298 or click here.
There are several ways you can donate ranging from one-off donations to regular donations.
Since North Tyneside Carers’ Centre was established we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the donations received from carers who have used our services or support the work we do.
Recently, a number of carers have expressed a preference to make financial donations online. To make this as simple as possible we have set up a JustGiving account to enable the collection of charitable donations online, using a credit or debit card. JustGiving ensures that charities receives 100% of donations received within days, including Gift Aid.
To make a donation go to:
Doing the weekly grocery shop? Booking a holiday? Buying anything at all online?
We’ve signed up to a great new way of raising funds for the Centre and we hope you’ll support us by taking part. Over 3,000 retailers – including M&S, John Lewis, Argos, Sports Direct & Expedia - will give North Tyneside Carers' Centre a free donation every time you shop with them, at no additional cost to you!
Visit www.goraise.co.uk/ntcarers and sign up for free.
Once you have done this simply click through to all your favourite online retailers and shop as normal. A donation is generated automatically when you make a purchase and Go Raise will pass this on to us. No catches or extra costs. It’s that simple! Help make a big difference, without any extra effort.
If everyone took part we could raise £1000s every year, simply in retailer donations, generated by ordinary, everyday shopping.
Remember - don’t just buy it, raise funds with it!!

A Gift in your Will
A legacy is a very special way of supporting North Tyneside Carers' Centre, which involves leaving a gift donation in your will. It’s easy to include a gift in your will but you should always consult a professional such as a solicitor or financial adviser to be sure your will reflects your exact intentions, and you understand tax implications. A legacy of any size really makes a difference in our ability to support carers in North Tyneside.

In Memory of a Loved One
When a loved one dies you may wish to suggest that mourners give an In Memory donation to North Tyneside Carers’ Centre instead of flowers at the funeral. This generous support means we can continue to support young and adult carers in the borough.
Making gifts in memory can be arranged through your funeral director or sent directly to North Tyneside Carers’ Centre. Please send cheques payable to North Tyneside Carers’ Centre to: North Tyneside Carers’ Centre, 3rd Floor, YMCA Building, Church Way, North Shields, NE29 0AB.
