Counselling Service

If you are a carer living in North Tyneside and are struggling to cope with the daily pressures of caring, North Tyneside Carers’ Centre may be able to offer you support through our Counselling Service.

We have three fully trained counsellors who work within a professional code of ethics and practice. Our counsellors provide a highly confidential service aimed to help you the carer.

Caring can be stressful and worrying. Counselling can give you the opportunity to reflect on who you are and who you want to be which will help you to cope better with these daily stresses.

Our counsellors will invite you to meet with them for an initial discussion where you can find out more about the counselling service and how it may benefit you in your role as a carer.

You will then be offered:

  • Six sessions lasting 55 minutes
  • Sessions on either a Wednesday morning, Wednesday evening or every second Saturday morning of the month at the centre.

If you would like to find out more or are interested in receiving our counselling service, please contact the Centre on (0191) 643 2298 or e-mail enquiries@ntcarers.co.uk
